LIVERPOOL are looking to continue their winning Premier League run against Wolves – but there is an unfamiliar name in the starting lineup.
Virgil van Dijk’s straight red against Newcastle left fans wondering who Jurgen Klopp was going to replace the Dutchman with.
And the Reds boss has opted to go with youth star Jarell Quansah.
But who exactly is he?
Who is Jarrell Quansah?
Born in Warrington, local lad Jarell Qansah has been on the Liverpool books since the age of five.
He made 37 appearances for the under-18s and 31 for the under-21s before going out on loan to Bristol Rovers for the second half of the 2022/23 season.

And Rovers manager Joey Barton had nothing but praise to say about Quansah.
“Barton said: “He’s good at building out from the back.
“He’s going to get bigger, he’s going to get stronger, he’s going to get faster.
“His anticipation of the game is going to be better because more senior games get you that.”

When did Quansah make his senior squad breakthrough?
The talented young defender grabbed his senior opportunity during pre-season.
Quansah was handed a place in Liverpool’s squad for the tour of Singapore after featuring in their mini-camp in Germany.
Jarell quickly caught Klopp’s eye and with Rhys Williams, Nat Phillips and Sepp van den Berg going out loan, it made a clear pathway for the young defender to play.
Now, Quansah is set to make his full debut against Wolves at Molineux.
