Fran Kirby was born on June 29, 1993, in Reading, England.

Her parents Denise and Steve had two children, Fran and her brother Jamie.

Fran started playing football at a young age with her brother, at school, in the street or in the front garden.

Fran’s mother suddenly died when the footballer was young, but she always believed that Fran would become a successful sportswoman.

Fran attended Caversham Park Primary School and Chiltern Edge, Sonning Common where she played against the boys.

A plaque honouring Fran was put up at the Caversham Trents Club as part of the “Where Greatness Is Made” campaign.

In February 2020 it was revealed that she had recovered from pericarditis which could have ended her career.

Despite her health battles, she came back to playing professional football.

During the 2021/22 season, Fran scored her 100th Chealsea goal against Birmingham City.

Before Chelsea, she used to play for her hometown club Reading.

She made her Reading first team debut at the tender age of 16.

She had a massively successful campaign with Reading, finishing as the division’s top scorer with 29 goals.

When did Fran Kirby make her debut for England?

Fran made her England debut in 2013 for the under-23 team where she made four appearances and scored one goal.
