WEST BROM’S Brandon Thomas-Asante has revealed he has spoken to injury-stricken Ben Wilmot.
Wilmot was left needing oxygen following a sickening fall after Thomas-Asante pulled his shirt while in mid-air.
The 23-year-old was revealed to have broken his back following the incident, ruling him out for the rest of the season.

“I can understand where they’re coming from. I don’t think Stoke fans are all horrible people, I think there are great people there.
“I have spoken to Ben, I messaged him the next day and said ‘I’m sure you don’t want to hear from me, I just wanted to check in’.

“He says he’s looking to recover quite quickly and be back in training in the next few weeks, so that was encouraging to hear from him.
“Credit to him as well, can I just say, because he could’ve taken it a different way but he was really positive.
“I look forward to seeing him again in the future and in better circumstances.”
Ex-Salford ace Thomas-Asante is the Baggies top goalscorer after netting his ninth goal of the campaign against Blackpool on Tuesday.
His goals have helped West Brom to keep pace in the hunt for a spot in the play-offs, with the club sitting one point behind Blackburn and two behind Millwall with four games to go.
