AURELIEN TCHOUAMENI gave away one of the strangest free kicks ever seen during his most recent appearance for France.
The 23-year-old was on international duty taking part in France’s 4-0 dismantling of Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands side.
The game was a routine win for Les Bleus, but Tchouameni’s free kick was far from what is normally seen on the pitch.
The Real Madrid star was in full control of the ball under no pressure and suddenly decided to pick it up and throw it into his own net.
The incident left other players on the pitch in a state of confusion and bewilderment, but it soon made sense.
The Frenchman was taking the law into his own hands as he believed the ball had gone flat and needed replacing.

Tchoameni was spared a yellow card for the incident, but the resulting free kick was in a dangerous position for The Flying Dutchmen, right outside Mike Maignan’s box.
No goal resulted from the decision and France went on to see the game out in a comfortable manner.
Didier Deschamps side were returning to action for the first time since their heartbreak in Qatar at the hands of Messi’s Argentina.
