GERARD Pique touched down in Mexico to face the wrath of a journalist over his bitter split from popstar Shakira 15 months ago.
In the explosive confrontation, the ex-football ace got an earful as he attempted to ignore the mob of press and was told “everyone hates you”.
The former Barcelona defender visited Mexico over the weekend as he moves towards a possible Latin American instalment of his seven-a-side project the Kings League.
But the reporters eagerly waiting at the airport had something else on their minds.
Footage from the incident shows the pack of journalists began bombarding Pique, 36, with questions about his former relationship with the Colombian songstress, Shakira, 45.
The TikTok clip shows it all kicked off when one local reporter, Claudia Maldonado, refused to accept his silence.

She shouted loudly in his face: “Everyone hates you for what you did to Shakira, and now you’re behaving like that with the press?”
The Spanish football star looked simultaneously baffled and furious at the remark as he managed to get away from the rabble and into a car.
Pique has repeatedly come under fire from both Shakira’s loyal fans and press across the world since rumours began to swirl that he cheated on the Hips Don’t Lie singer.
In June 2022, the bombshell news broke that the superstar couple would be splitting up following speculation of the Barcelona ace’s alleged infidelity.

Diss tracks, witch dolls, empty jam jars and sponsorship deals have been at the centre of the ongoing war between the former lovers.
This week, Shakira took to Instagram to take a swipe at her ex Gerard Pique calling herself “The Boss” in a horseback photo.
The singing superstar shared a snap of her new music video for her latest track El Jefe, seemingly taking another swipe at Pique.
The new hit is an apparent nod to the alleged nickname she was given by Pique’s pals, “El Jefe” (The Boss).
Other musical digs have included the iconic lines: “You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo” and “a Rolex for a Casio” in her epic diss track, BZRP Music Session #53″.
Another lyric goes: “Sorry baby, I should have thrown you out a while ago. A she-wolf like me is not for rookies.
“A she-wolf like me is not for guys like you. I’m too good for you, and that’s why you’re with someone just like you.
“No hard feelings baby, I wish you the best with my supposed replacement.”
Earlier this month, Shakira gave a tell-all interview in which she admitted she “believed in ’till death do us part'”, until she caught wind of the alleged affair.
The now Miami -based singer said that it was once her “dream” to have a life-long relationship with the father of her two children.
“It’s what I wanted for myself and my children, but it didn’t happen.”
But the former Barcelona centre-back has also done his fair share of poking the bear, while flaunting his new relationship with Clara to the world.
