The incident happened in stoppage time at the end of the second half with Buzau hanging on for a vital three points in the Romanian second division.

Mihalcea rushed over to collect a ball that was kicked out of play and he reached it just before Otelul captain Ionuț Neagu.

And as Neagu tried to reach the ball Mihalcea threw himself to the ground in dramatic fashion clutching his face.

He proceeded to roll around on the floor, much to the anger of fans.

His own players appeared to have second hand embarrassment but the Bucau boss did at least succeed in wasting time to help his side to a win.

Viewers were shocked by his behaviour however with one writing: “This is so embarrassing. Ruins the sport.”

Another added: “Even his own players were like FFS.

And another commented: “Not sure if Adrian Mihalcea or peak Rivaldo.”
