Watch Man Utd star Wan-Bissaka make ‘tackle of the season’ to deny Crystal Palace star Zaha last-minute winner

AARON WAN-BISSAKA made a vital last ditch challenge that many are calling the ‘tackle of the season’ during Manchester United’s draw with Crystal Palace.

The right-back dispossessed his former teammate Wilfried Zaha who was seemingly through on goal by sliding in and hooking the ball away from the Ivory Coast international’s feet.

Wan-Bissaka’s sliding denial of Zaha came with the scores level and less than 20 seconds left to play, making it even more impressive that he prevented the Eagles snatching all three points.

Fans have been reacting to the 25-year-old’s tackle and praising the skill level shown.

One fan commented: “Miss that and it’s a red card and a penalty. Truly the tackle of the season.”

Another said: “Tackle of the season so far from Wan-Bissaka.”

A third wrote: “Definitely no one can doubt he’s the best RB in the league.”

It wasn’t just fans that were impressed either, Zaha himself had his say on the Man United man’s challenge.

He said: “Any other player [and we could’ve won it at the end]. As I’m running through I had a look back, a little look back, and I thought oh my god it’s Aaron [Wan-Bissaka].

“He’s the only one that can do the scoop tackle. It was a great tackle and I can’t say anything else about it.”

Zaha and Wan-Bissaka played together at Crystal Palace before the full back made his move to Old Trafford.

During his time at Selhurst Park, the defender was nicknamed ‘The Spider’ because of his ability to use his long legs to hook the ball away from the opposition.

Michael Olise’s stunning late free kick saw an end to Manchester United’s nine game winning streak with the game ending all square at 1-1.

The Red Devil’s face league leaders Arsenal next on Sunday, but will be without star man Casemiro after he was suspended for racking up too many yellow cards.
