Tottenham star Bissouma SENT OFF for ‘stupidest thing ever seen on a football pitch’ after moment of madness at Luton


YVES BISSOUMA was sent off in Tottenham’s clash with Luton Town for a theatrical dive.

The Ivory Coast international picked up his first booking of the match in the 39th minute of the trip to Kenilworth Road.

And he was headed for an early shower a mere ten minutes later for a needless act of simulation.

Bissouma was given his marching orders by referee John Brooks for trying to win a free kick in first-half stoppage time..

The Ivorian flopped to the floor as he feigned contact on the edge of the box.

Brooks saw straight through the 27-year-old’s theatrics and didn’t hesitate to send him packing with a second booking – his SIXTH of the season.

Footie fans couldn’t quite believe their eyes and flooded to X (formerly Twitter) to express their shock.

One wrote: “So unnecessary from him.”

Another said: “Yves Bissouma: certified moron.”

And another said: “Simulation and stupidity.”

One frustrated Spurs fan even mentioned the Ivorian and said: “You’ve been so good this season.

“But today you’ve let us down big time!”

Former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas didn’t mince his words when criticising Bissouma’s theatrics.

The 40-year-old said: “He’s dived, he’s got what he deserves.”

Bissouma’s costly antics have left Spurs having to play 45-plus minutes of the match with ten men.
