TOTTENHAM are plotting a double swoop for Sporting Lisbon stars Pedro Porro and Marcus Edwards, according to reports.
Spurs are set to try and be active in the January transfer market, after boss Antonio Conte placed more doubt on his future.
The Lilywhites have fallen five points off the top four, having been beaten 2-0 in dismal fashion by Aston Villa last Sunday.
According to the Mail, Tottenham chiefs will hold talks with Sporting TODAY regarding moves for Porro and Spurs old boy Edwards.
The Portuguese side are battling on multiple fronts and don’t want to sell in January for anything below their star players’ release clauses.
Porro, 23, has a £40m release clause in his Sporting deal.

The talented winger played just once for Tottenham’s first team, a League Cup cameo against Gillingham, before being shipped off to Vitoria three years ago.
He excelled enough to earn a transfer to Sporting, where he has continued to go from strength to strength – scoring nine goals and laying on nine assists in 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
Both players impressed against Spurs in the Champions League earlier in the campaign.
They both played a starring role in Sporting’s 2-0 win in Portugal, while Edwards scored in a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on his homecoming.
Speaking yesterday ahead of tonight’s trip to Crystal Palace, Conte again refused to commit his future to Tottenham.
He said: “I signed when I found the club in a difficult position for many reasons.
“Now my task, I understood it very well, is to try to help the club go in the right direction or to come back in the right direction about the choices of the players, about the work, to organise and to create a foundation.
“Now this is my big challenge here. If I want to stay, then I have to accept this.
“Otherwise, if I do not want to accept this then I have to go.”
Following the defeat to Villa he claimed that he needed expensive new signings to compete, saying: “To become title contenders, to become a team ready to fight to win something, you need to have a solid foundation, which means to have 14 or 15 strong players, with quality, and the other young players to develop.
