Tottenham blow as ‘PSG make Luis Enrique top manager target but French giants also chasing TWO Champions League winners’

TOTTENHAM face another huge blow in their search for a new manager, according to reports.

Spurs have been on the search for a new head coach since sacking Antonio Conte in March.

Ryan Mason is now in temporary charge, but it appears Levy has entered an unwanted battle to land the appropriate permanent successor.

Earlier this week, talkSPORT reported that Luis Enrique and Arne Slot were the two frontrunners.

However, since then Slot has removed himself from the running by declaring his commitment to Feyenoord.

And now Tottenham potentially face a further blow.

This comes as Paris Saint-Germain are likely to sack manager Christophe Galtier and enter the race for Luis Enrique.

Despite winning the Ligue 1 title, the Parisians were disastrously knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich, and have failed to reach the French Cup final.

According to MARCA Luis Enrique heads the list to become PSG coach next season and “is the favourite”.

They are reportedly keen to accelerate their hunt for the ex-Spain manager as “they know they are not alone”, with Napoli also interested.

Former Tottenham boss and two-time Champions League winner Jose Mourinho is also among the shortlist of names.

And Zinedine Zidane remains an “unattainable dream for PSG.”

The French World-Cup winner won three consecutive Champions League’s managing Real Madrid.

But if Enrique is PSG’s favourite, where does that leave Tottenham?

Spurs have not exactly acted decisively in their pursuit of a new manager.

The club have dithered between Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Luciano Spalletti and Ruben Amorim.

They’ve even allowed rivals Chelsea to bring in Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.

Slot’s withdrawal from the race to become Spurs boss follows Xabi Alonso and Vincent Kompany ruling themselves out.

With PSG playing in the top European competitions next season, and Spurs competing to secure a place in the Europa Conference League, Daniel Levy now faces fierce competition to secure a new team boss.
