That’s all from us, good night!
That is all from us tonight on an action packed day of Premier League football, which saw Arsenal get the better of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
There were two other Premier League games on today, and the results were as follows:
- Newcastle United 1-0 Fulham
- Chelsea 1-0 Crystal Palace
Thank you as always for reading, it has been a pleasure, and I hope to see you again soon.
Good night!
Still to come…
Arsenal may be eight points clear at the top of the table tonight, but the rest of the Premier League will know all to well that this season is far from over.
Manchester United and Manchester City are now both chasing the London club, with Newcastle also after the leaders.
They face two of those teams in their next four games, which could be crucial in deciding if they do in fact end up Premier League champions in the summer.
Post-match commotion
Aaron Ramsdale explained post match what happened after the game, as he was KICKED by a Spurs fan when he went to get his gloves and bottle, here is what happened:
After the full-time whistle went, Ramsdale kicked the ball away and kissed the Arsenal badge on his shirt, and ‘gave some’ to the Spurs fans behind his goal.
Richarlison then came over to confront him for doing so, and Ramsdale walked off to get his water bottle and gloves while the Brazilian continued to remonstrate with him, and pushed Ramsdale in the face.
When picking up his bottle, a Tottenham fan jumped onto the advertising board and booted Ramsdale in the back.
Needless to say that the fan in question should be banned from ever entering the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium again, and we expect to hear more about it in the coming days…
Man of the match
There is only one man it can go to, and that man is Aaron Ramsdale.
The English shot-stopper was brilliant in goal today, and made seven saves, a record which he has only bettered in one Premier League game.
He made two brilliant saves in particular, from Sessegnon and Son, as well as a few from Harry Kane.
Eight points clear
Arsenal move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, and Spurs drop down to fifth in the table.
A first North London Derby win for Arsenal away at Tottenham since March 2014, when Mikel Arteta was captain.
Not a very good day for Hugo Lloris in the Arsenal net, whose wrists crumpled like a discarded crisp packet for the first goal.
That was before Martin Odegaard rattled home a screamer from 25-yards to double the scoring.
There was something of an onslaught early in the second half from Spurs, but Arsenal did well to weather the storm and see the game out.
There was plenty of commotion at the end of the game, as a fan looked to attack Aaron Ramsdale, after Richarlison caused a scene with the English goalkeeper.

It feels like Arsenal have got through that tough period of early Spurs pressure, and they have coped with it really well.

Kane reacts by throwing his hands up in the air.
Not happy.

Kulusevski goes down holding his head as play is stopped, he is just lacking that final ball in the second half so far.
He is okay, and Spurs play on.

A half-chance for Eddie Nketiah.
He takes a great touch inside the box, but his shot is into the arms of Hugo Lloris.

56. Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Arsenal
Spurs have certainly improved in the second half, as Kulusevski whips a ball in towards the back post.
