A TINY football club was left stunned to find that a mega-rich fan had left them over £1MILLION in his will.
The game-changing donation was made by Gudmundur Eggert Oskarsson to his favourite club Breidablik – who play in Iceland.
The 88-year-old recently passed away after spending most of his life supporting the newly-crowned Icelandic champs.
Oskarsson, born in 1935, was also the club’s former treasurer.
And those now behind the scenes were left stunned to discover he had included Breidablik in his will to the tune of £1.1m.
The club, based just south of capital Reykjavik in Kopavogur, provides plenty of other sports including basketball and swimming.

However, Osakarsson’s stunning donation has been left entirely for the football team, which was founded in 1950 but only played its first professional match seven years later.
Breidablik are the current champions of Iceland’s top flight, having won the league just once before in 2010.
They played their first-ever continental match in the Europa League against Motherwell that same year.
And in 2021 they lost to Aberdeen in the qualification stages for the inaugural Europa Conference League.

A club statement read: “One of those who died this year is Gudmundur Eggert Oskarsson.
“Gudmundur worked for years for the football league, among other things as treasurer, and was made an honorary member of Breidablik in 1990.
“Guomundur bequeathed in his will just about ISK 200 million to Breidablik’s football department.
“The funds are intended to support the football league, and it is specifically stated that ‘the amount inherited shall be divided equally between the men’s and women’s leagues’.
“This generous gift will be used by the department to promote the work of the football department.
“But it is not expected that the funds will be used for direct operations, but for individual projects and the development of the work of the Breidablik football department.”
