The Brazil international had to don white socks because the blue ones he was supposed to have would’ve clashed with the Eagles’ home socks.

That didn’t go unnoticed during the game as fans took to Twitter to express their shock.

One tweeted: “Ederson’s socks are throwing me off.”

Another posted: “Has Ederson borrowed somebody’s socks?”

This Palace supporter joked: “The closest we’ve been to winning a game in 2023.”

And that one tweeted: “Ederson wearing palaces away socks?”

Ederson’s surprise kit quirk, though, had no effect on his performance as he still picked up a clean sheet.
