CHELSEA are in for a tough time this season despite spending £326million in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a supercomputer which predicts the Blues to finish eighth – behind Brighton.
The Blues have had a miserable campaign thus far, sitting TENTH in the Premier League having also crashed out of both cups.
Boffins over at bettingexpert have compiled BETSiE, a supercomputer which has predicted how the final Prem table will look now that teams can no longer make transfers.
Chelsea were the biggest spenders of the window by far, bringing in the likes of Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez for a British record fee.
Yet BETSiE believes Graham Potter will finish behind his former side Brighton, who are tipped to qualify for Europe for the first time ever by finishing seventh.

Top spot goes to Arsenal – just as BETSiE predicted before they landed the deadline day signing of Jorginho.
The Gunners are expected to finish six points above title rivals Manchester City and a staggering 25 points above Tottenham.
Spurs will miss out on the top four according to the supercomputer, which predicts current top four inhabitants Manchester United and Newcastle to maintain their place.
At the other end of the table Everton’s miserable season is expected to continue despite the appointment of Sean Dyche.

The Toffees are bottom of the league and are expected to end up in that position on 31 points after failing to make any January signings and letting Anthony Gordon join Newcastle for £40m.
Bournemouth are predicted to finish narrowly above the Toffees despite six signings last month and more than £50m spent.
There are several clubs at risk of relegation but BETSiE thinks Southampton will be the third team stuck in the bottom three.
Liverpool, who have struggled this season, are predicted to finish sixth which could see them qualify for the Europa League.
