MANCHESTER UNITED and their fans were reportedly left in stitches at an error from Sky Sports concerning their new signing Wout Weghorst.
The Dutch striker joined the Red Devils on loan from Burnley earlier this month.
The 30-year-old made his debut during last Wednesday’s 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
And he led the line for them on Sunday as they suffered a crushing 3-2 defeat to rivals Arsenal at the Emirates.
However, the Daily Mail has claimed United were left in “bemusement” by Sky Sports, who showed both matches live, and their botched effort.
Prior to the Palace clash, the TV company doctored up a photo of Weghorst in the club’s colours to show on their starting line-up graphic.

That is despite United reportedly providing them with everything they needed to show a genuine one.
But instead of using a real one, Sky instead used photo-editing software and super-imposed the striker’s head onto someone else’s body.
And many eagle-eyed fans believe that the mystery body, visibly a lot smaller than the 6ft 5in forward, was in fact former United ace Juan Mata, who is now at Galatasaray in Turkey.
They were also seen wearing Nike boots – with Weghorst sponsored by adidas.

Sky responded to the Mail’s report by saying they needed to capture the imagery themselves.
And they added there was not enough time for them to do so before the Palace game.
However, the same image was also used before the clash with Arsenal.
They also allegedly refused to inform United of the body “double” used as fans quickly spotted their error.
One tweeted: “That Wout Weghorst graphic on Sky Sports is the most obvious photoshop ever!”
Another wrote: “They’ve done Weghorst dirty with that photoshop job there Sky.”
As a fellow fan asked: “Why did sky Photoshop an old picture of Weghorst on a 5’8 body?”
