SKY SPORTS commentator Martin Tyler missed a Premier League title lift for the first time in 20 years due to a sore throat.
The broadcaster was scheduled to work Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Chelsea and the trophy lift that followed the game.
However, Tyler had to call in sick because he was feeling unwell.
Rob Hawthorne stepped up to take over from him.
Tyler had a sore throat the previous weekend when commentating on Arsenal’s 3-0 loss to Brighton.
The veteran soldiered on but could not do so to see City lift the title as his symptoms got worse.
