The former Man United manager also watched the 4-0 win over Burton Albion on Saturday.
Ferguson’s trip to the game came after he bought a £1.2 million property in Goostrey, Cheshire.
The Scot is making the move in order to be closer to his grandchildren.
He has put his £3.5m mansion on the market following the death of his wife Cathy.
It featured an en-suite bedroom, a games room and some ‘Ferguson clan’ tartan carpet.
His new pad is believed to be neighbouring to his son Darren’s house.
Ferguson has three sons, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
