SALT BAE has suffered embarrassment after his New York City restaurant shut down.
The celebrity chef’s restaurant, Salt Bae Burger New York, was once branded the “worst restaurant in New York City” as critics slammed the food as overpriced.
The restaurant was also described as having “all the charm of an airplane hangar”.
These criticism’s are not exclusive to the burger restaurant, with his London restaurant Nusr-Et facing similar criticism despite once being ranked the second most expensive in the world.
According to NY Eater, a sign on the door of the now closed business claims it will be relocating to the same address as the chain of Nusr-Et Steakhouses in New York
Salt Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, was also slammed for his “shameless” stunt of handing University students a 30 per cent discount at the Boston chain of Nusr-Et.

A second wrote: “Cappuccino 😂😂 and your bill is 300k for that coffee ☕️ mrs kaka ,(card or cash plz ) 😂😂.”
A third typed: “Kaka didn’t have enough money to pay the bill so he had to do this non sense 🤣🤣🤣.”
Another fan added: “I still can’t forgive him for the World Cup 🤦♂️ 🤦♂️.”
