FORMER Manchester City star Robinho has held talks over a return to football with two Brazilian clubs.
In 2017 the Brazilian, 38, was sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty, alongside five others, of gang raping a woman at a Milan nightclub in 2013.
The rape occurred when Robinho was playing for Italian side AC Milan.
His conviction was confirmed by an appeals court in 2020.
Robinho lost his final appeal against the conviction last January, meaning the ruling cannot be changed.
In October Italy’s Ministry of Justice asked Brazilian authorities to extradite Robinho to the country to serve his jail term.

However, the Brazilian Constitution does not allow Brazilians to be extradited from their homeland.
The ex-Manchester City ace retired from football in 2020 but has now held talks about a return to the game.
He has had discussions with both Portuguesa Santista and Brasiliense, according to Brazilian outlet UOL.
Portuguesa Santista play in the second tier of the San Paulo state league, while Brasiliense play in the Brazilian fourth tier.

However, an agreement with the disgraced footballer is yet to be reached.
Speaking about signing Robinho, vice-president of Portuguesa Santista, Emerson Coelho, said: “We have tried, we talked about the possibility [of signing him]. He has this problem, and we had a superficial conversation.
“It was not an official proposal, he did not give an official response, but we considered it. He is a great player. Who wouldn’t?
“But there is this problem, we move on with our lives and he with his. We hope he solves his life in the legal part. What happened was a conversation.
“Portuguese Santista having Robinho would be very cool, but it was only a matter of conversation.”
Robinho, who scored 28 goals in 100 games for Brazil, also played for Real Madrid, as well as City and AC Milan and clubs in China, Turkey and his homeland.
