READING forward Dom Ballard has been carried off the pitch with an oxygen mask during the Royals clash with Wycombe.
The 18-year-old England youth star was taken off while the scores were tied at 0-0 with what seemed to be a nasty injury.
The incident appeared to happen after an unfortunate fall and wasn’t as the result of a tackle from a Wycombe player.
Ballard was instantly surrounded by a number of medical staff and players as he was taken off the pitch.
All four stands in Adams Park rose to their feat to applaud the youngster following the worrying scenes.
Reading wished their young talent well on social media as he was taken off the pitch.

And Wycombe also sent words of encouragement on their official X account.

Ballard joined Reading on loan this summer from Championship side Southampton and has scored three league goals in nine games so far.
