CRISTIANO RONALDO was so infuriated with the referee he demanded he was substituted.
Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr side took on Al-Ettifaq in the King Cup of Champions Round of 16 earlier today at the KSU Stadium.
The two Saudi Pro League sides faced off in a dramatic encounter that saw tensions flare up during stoppage time in the first half.
Al-Nassr star Talisca hit the back of the net but his effort was chalked off following a VAR review that deemed Ronaldo was offside and interfered with play.

The game went to extra-time after 90 goalless minutes, which saw Talisca being sent off just moments after his goal was disallowed as he caught an opponent with his left arm.
However, Al-Ettifaq manager Steven Gerrard also lost one of his own players as Ali Hazazi was shown a red card in the 89th minute.
Al-Nassr were the ones who ultimately emerged victorious, however, thanks to Sadio Mane’s winner three minutes before the end of extra-time.
