Premier League legend unrecognisable in disguise as a bearded steward as he goes behind enemy lines at Anfield


A PREMIER LEAGUE legend has tried his hand at espionage after disguising himself as a steward at Liverpool.

But can you figure out who the cheeky devil is?

The former star donned a red coat, a Liverpool woolly hat, some huge glasses and an excessive amount of fake beard hair for the disguise.

They were an iconic one-club man, making 600 appearances for one of the biggest clubs in England.

These appearances also came with mountains of success, including 12 Premier League titles, four FA Cups and two Champions League trophies.

The 48-year-old also earned 85 caps for the England national team.

Well, the mystery man can now be revealed as, drumroll please… Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville.

The former Manchester United star went behind enemy lines for the broadcaster’s new show, The Overlap on Tour.

He was joined in this activity by his main foil and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, who shared a teaser clip of the show on his Twitter page.

However, it remains to be seen what their full task at Liverpool’s home entailed.

The clip showed a variety of activities, including an apparent officiating gig with Carragher and the usual panel show, which saw Roy Keane crack some jokes at Neville’s expense.

The show is set to air on Sky on Wednesday, June 14.

Neville and Carragher have struck an iconic partnership on Sky Sports with the pair’s constant shifts between fiery debates and wise-cracking jokes becoming a staple of the broadcaster’s coverage.
