CURTIS DAVIES is in line for his first-ever international cap at the age of 38 — 15 years after making the England squad.
Davies, 38, is a Premier League cult hero following top flight spells with West Brom, Aston Villa, Birmingham and Hull.
The centre-back spent the last six seasons playing at Derby.
And he now plies his trade for League One outfit Cheltenham Town.
Despite his impressive club record, Davies was never capped by England.
He received two call-ups to Fabio Capello’s squad in 2008, having previously played three times for the U21s.

But Davies is finally set to realise his international ambitions.
That’s after receiving the nod from Sierra Leone.
The defender is eligible to play for the African nation as his father is from there.
Davies will be hoping to feature in friendlies against Benin and Somalia.

And the veteran admits he feels honoured to be named in Amidu Karim’s latest squad.
Davies tweeted: “I’m delighted to formally announce that I will be joining the Sierra Leone national team for their upcoming friendlies.
“I thought the opportunity to represent the country of my father’s birth had passed but I feel very proud and humbled to have received the call.
“It will be a proud moment for me to pull on the shirt of The Leone Stars and make my family in Sierra Leone proud but most of all my dad.
“He did everything in his power to give me the best chance to become a footballer, so I dedicate this all to him.
“Looking forward to getting going.”
