WEST HAM are aiming to make the London Stadium the SECOND largest in the Premier League.
The venue of the 2012 London Olympics has been home to the Hammers since their move away from Upton Park in 2016.
The ground is currently limited to a matchday capacity of 62,500 due to licensing regulations.
It was expanded to 68,013 fans last year, however, the seats remain unused by fans.
West Ham have reportedly agreed with the London Stadium owners, the London Legacy Development Corporation, an “informal plan” to use the extra seats.
This would see West Ham be able to offer 5,500 more seats on matchday, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims that the agreement could be formalised in two years’ time with the seats being available from the start of the 2026-27 season.
West Ham will see their costs to rent the London Stadium increase by £200,000.
This will see their annual payments rise from £3.5million to £3.7m.
It is claimed that small alterations will need to be done before the capacity can be increased, such as adding more catering and toilet facilities.

As a result of the increased capacity, the East London outfit would be able to boast the second-largest stadium in the Premier League.
Manchester United will continue to have the biggest stadium in the Premier League, with Old Trafford’s capacity of 74,310.
West Ham would, however, see their stadium capacity surpass that of London rivals Tottenham.
Spurs’ modern Tottenham Hotspur Stadium holds 62,850 people on a match-day.
