In addition to a mixed bag of results, Ten Hag has also seen fit to exile Jadon Sancho from first team training.

The United boss banished the winger in the wake of their public war of words following Ten Hag’s decision to drop Sancho against Arsenal on September 3.

Yesterday the Mirror claimed that Sancho has been banned from using all first team facilities, including the canteen.

Ten Hag will not relent on his stance until he receives an apology from his player, with some United stars hopeful that their team-mate will say sorry and save his Old Trafford career.

Sun columnist Piers has been thoroughly unimpressed with the way Ten Hag has handled his stars.

Prior to last night’s League Cup clash with Crystal Palace, Morgan tweeted: “Ten Hag loves to humiliate his players.. whilst his own managerial failings continue to humiliate United.”

Morgan, 58, was also critical of Ten Hag’s treatment of his pal Cristiano Ronaldo last year.

He labelled the former Ajax boss a “clown” following Ronaldo’s explosive Old Trafford exit.

The Red Devils are ninth in the Premier League after six matches, having lost to Tottenham, Arsenal and Brighton.

They also began their Champions League campaign with a 4-3 defeat at Bayern Munich last week.

Ten Hag and Co did grab an important 3-0 League Cup win against Crystal Palace last night.

Goals by Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial sealed comfortable passage to the next stage for Man United.

The result followed Saturday night’s gritty 1-0 win over Burnley.

United will next be in action on Saturday when they host Crystal Palace again, this time in the Premier League.
