MANCHESTER CITY manager Pep Guardiola had a hilarious exchange with a fan during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle.
City picked up a huge Premier League win over Eddie Howe’s rising Magpies thanks to Julian Alvarez’s winner on 31 minutes without key players including Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones and Bernardo Silva.
And Guardiola worked his magic without making a single change throughout the match, compared to Howe’s five substitutions.
Some City fans got nervous in the Etihad stands while watching the Toon pushing for an equaliser in the second half with the Spanish tactician refusing to bring in some fresh legs.
One supporter, who was close to Guardiola’s dugout, issued some unwanted advice ordering him to ring in the changes with the likes of Rico Lewis, Kalvin Phillips, Nathan Ake and Cole Palmer on the bench.
But the Treble-winning manager, who also won the UEFA Super Cup, would have none of it and silenced him by sarcastically suggesting he should get on the hotseat and show him how it’s done.

Guardiola revealed during his post-match interview with TNT Sports: “He said to me, ‘Make a substitution!’
“So I said… ‘Come sit here, you do it!’
“I understand, but I thought a lot [about] calling for Rico, for Kalvin.
“But the game was in a good tempo, good rhythm and I didn’t see the players [being too] tired.

“[Mateo] Kovacic or Julian were more tired than Erling [Haaland] but always helped us for the long balls and his threat up front.
“And Phil [Foden] was amazing, so it was not easy to make the changes. That’s why I didn’t do it.”
City have won both of their two opening Premier League matches as they scored four goals and have conceded none.
