The Magpies have been one of the standout sides in the Premier League this season but will face a tough task against in-form United.

Trippier has admitted that Marcus Rashford has been in “unbelievable” form recently and will be one of the players his side needs to stop.

The defender also named Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Luke Shaw as the club’s dangermen.

He told Chronicle Live: “I know Marcus very well, I’m really happy for him because I’ve always known how unbelievable he is and he’s certainly hit some form.

“But it’s not about one individual – you’ve got Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Luke Shaw, who’s been unbelievable this season as well.”

However, Trippier has insisted that his side can not be “too focused” on the quartet and need to plan on how they can attack United.

He added: “We can’t be too focused on them.

“Obviously, we need to review them, of course, but we need to focus on how we can hurt them.

“We want to go into that final to win.

“That’s our only priority.”

Newcastle will welcome Bruno Guimaraes to the team after he completed his suspension following his red card against Southampton in the semi-finals.

Boss Eddie Howe said of the midfielder: ‘He’s OK, he’s good.

“He’s been really disappointed to miss the last few games, and he’s felt very frustrated not to help the team.

“But he’s back – and he’s in a good place.”
