My dad AND uncle are Rangers legends who played for Scotland but I’m making my own way in Italy… now Juventus want me

He is living up to the family name and emulating the success shown on the pitch by his father Derek Ferguson and uncle Barry Ferguson, both of whom played for Rangers and Scotland.

Lewis Ferguson reportedly had the chance to move to Ibrox while still at Aberdeen but opted for Bologna, where he has scored ten goals in 43 league games.

He needs just one more to become the highest scoring Scot in Italy and his form has captured the attention of Juventus, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.

It is understood the Serie A giants would be willing to splash out £17.5million on Ferguson.

Lazio and AC Milan are also believed to be admirers of the midfielder.

Ferguson has won ten Scotland caps and could be a key player at Euro 2024 next summer.

The 24-year-old responded to speculation surrounding his future by assuring fans he is concentrated on the task at hand for club and country.

Ferguson said: “It’s nice to hear and see, whether it’s online or in the newspaper but, genuinely, it doesn’t affect me in any way.

“I don’t think too much about it. I try to focus on what’s in front of me. While I’m here, I’ll be fully focused on Scotland and, when I go back over to Bologna, it will be the same.”

Bologna are eighth in Serie A but just three points from Champions League qualification, so have a real shot of making it into Europe next season.
