Man Utd urged to make stunning transfer move for Premier League striker who would ‘get even better’ at Old Trafford

MANCHESTER UNITED have been advised to sign one of the Premier League’s top strikers.

United have been on the lookout for a new centre-forward ever since Cristiano Ronaldo’s dramatic exit in November.

And Dion Dublin claims Brentford star Ivan Toney would make for a great addition to Erik ten Hag’s frontline amid a stunning campaign.

Dublin insists Toney would “only get better” if he moved to Old Trafford.

The England international has registered a whopping 20 goals and five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season.

Dublin told William Hill: “In my opinion he is good enough to go and play for Manchester United, and I think he’d only get better if he went there.

“Erik ten Hag likes a big striker and they need a proven goal-scorer so maybe they should take a look at Ivan Toney.”

This, however, comes after Toney was charged with 232 alleged betting breaches between 2017 and 2021 last November, and another 30 a month later.

The 27-year-old admitted to many of the 262 charges, but has contested others, and could be banned for a minimum of six months.

United continue to look for a striker and have been linked with the likes of Tottenham superstar Harry Kane and Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

The Red Devils are confident they can land Kane this summer if Spurs finish outside the top four.

The Manchester giants reckon the North Londoners will lower their £100million asking price if they miss out on a Champions League place.

Osimhen has been targeted but will also cost a fortune, while Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping tabs.
