MANCHESTER UNITED manager Erik ten Hag has urged his team to IGNORE one of Newcastle’s “annoying” tactics in the Carabao Cup final.
The Red Devils head into the Wembley clash fresh off the back of a thrilling 2-1 comeback win against Barcelona in the Europa League.
However, Ten Hag has warned his side they will face a different test against an “annoying” opponent.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ten Hag said: “It’s a great team, they have a clear philosophy about how they want to play the game.
“The key word is intensity, they do really well, but they’re an annoying team to play against, so we have to find a way to win.
“They try to annoy you. We have to play our game and focus on our game.”

The ex-Ajax boss then elaborated on his meaning, adding: “For instance, so if you see the referee want to play an effective time.
“They have the lowest in the league and they are quite successful with it.
“So it’s up to us that we get speed in the game and we are also then dependent on the refereeing as well.”
Both sides have been hit with blows ahead of the final, after Nick Pope was handed a straight red card for handling the ball against Liverpool.
