MANCHESTER UNITED are considering a swoop for Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa, according to reports.
The Red Devils signed Andre Onana in a £47million transfer from Inter Milan this summer, but his performances so far have left a lot to be desired.
Despite his poor run of form, the 27-year-old recently said that he WILL compete in the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon in January if given the chance, meaning Erik ten Hag will be without his No.1 for up to seven games.
SunSport exclusively revealed last week that United are exploring the possibility of bringing David De Gea back to Old Trafford to cover Onana’s absence.
However, Portuguese outlet A Bola now claim that the Red Devils are targeting a move for Porto shotstopper Costa.
A United representative allegedly went to watch the Portugal international in action against Vizela last week.

Costa’s current contract expires in 2027, but he has a £65m release clause.
The 24-year-old has been at Porto since 2011.
He made his first team debut in 2019 and became the club’s first choice goalkeeper two years later.
Costa has since made 122 appearances and kept 50 clean sheets.

Should he join Man Utd, Costa will likely become Ten Hag’s first choice goalkeeper.
Onana could then be moved to the bench.
