MANCHESTER UNITED legend Roy Keane has mocked Jack Grealish for tumbling “like Tom Daley” during Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Sunday.
The incident occurred just before half time as Grealish made a run into the penalty area following a clever pass from Bernardo Silva.
He then went to ground after making contact with Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey and subsequently won a penalty, which was converted by Riyad Mahrez.
Many Aston Villa fans were left furious with the decision and accused Grealish, who spent nine years at Villa Park before joining Man City in 2021, of diving.
But Keane begrudgingly praised the City star for being smart with his movement.
He told Sky Sports: “You have to give the penalty, Jack was being very, very smart. Very naïve the defending from Ramsay but he does kind of catch him.

“Jack kicks himself more than anything else. He’s more like Tom Daley but I think it is a penalty and it’s clever from Jack.
“He gets his body across, he knows exactly what he is doing – gives the referee almost no option but to give the penalty.”
City went on to win the game 3-1 thanks to goals from Mahrez, Rodri and Ilkay Gundogan.
As a result, Pep Guardiola’s side closed the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Arsenal to just three points.

Man City are set to take on the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
If they win, they will be level on points.
But, they may be forced to play without Erling Haaland, who picked up a thigh injury during the game on Sunday.
When asked about the severity of the striker’s injury after the game, Guardiola told Sky Sports: “Erling has a kick and we will see.
“We will assess him in the next few days to see how severe it is.
“At half-time I spoke with the doctors to see and they said maybe at 3-0 we don’t need to take a risk and I agreed with the doctors.
“If the score was more tight maybe I wouldn’t do it. I think he’s not injured but tomorrow we will see.
“Hopefully he can play there on Wednesday. If he’s not ready or it’s a risk he’s not going to play.”
