LANCASHIRE county cricket club brutally mocked Manchester United fans after their win over Brentford.
The Division One cricket team kicked off their season on Thursday, the day after the Red Devils beat Brentford 1-0.
And the Lancashire Twitter admin could not resist the opportunity to aim a cheeky dig at United.
They made light of the old adage that a large section of United’s fanbase lives in Surrey – Lancashire’s opponents this week.
They joked: “Gates are open and great to see some of the Surrey fans decided to stay over after last night’s Manchester United match…”
The jibe split opinion amongst the Lancashire fanbase with some claiming it risks alienating their own supporters who also cheer on United.
