He taunted fans by moving the ball at a corner

Maddison put in a stunning performance and in an attempt to get into his head the home supporters took aim at him.

The 26-year-old has just three England caps and failed to make an appearance at the World Cup last year despite his talent.

Bournemouth fans used it as ammunition when he went over to take a corner, chanting: “[Gareth] Southgate’s right, you’re f***ing s****.”

Maddison cheekily responded by leaving the ball outside the quadrant by the flag to wind up the Bournemouth fans.

He then moved the ball back to where it should be with a wry smile on his face.

Maddison’s antics didn’t stop there – he went to the side of the pitch to have a sip of water only for a supporter in red and black to start a rant from the stands in his direction.

The giggling creative midfielder reacted by squirting his water bottle and pointing at the scoreboard.

After the game and his standout performance, Maddison took to social media to post a photo of himself celebrating alongside a zoomed-in shot of a supporter sticking two fingers up at him.

He captioned the post: “Happy Saturdays from me and the old boy in Row E.”

Maddison also uploaded his moving the ball trick with the England chants to his TikTok page alongside a fishing rod to portray he was baiting Cherries fans.

Spurs supporters found it hilarious, one said: “Madders mate, I absolutely adore you.”

Another reacted: “Love this, a player with personality.”

A third added: “Someone get their granddad.”

One of his former fans at Leicester commented: “He’s just letting you know how many trophies you will leave Spurs with, the two you won at Leicester.”
