LIVERPOOL have signed centre-back Amara Nallo from West Ham.
The comes as poor defending has become an unwanted theme for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
West Ham have again produced another top talent only to see it snatched away by their Premier League rivals.
Nallo was one of 12 academy talents to a sign scholarship deal at West Ham in May this year, after appearing for the club’s Under-18s side.
Liverpool were keen to sign a new centre-back as part of their summer rebuild.
The left-footed centre-back has been publicly praised by academy coach Carlton Cole.
Cole told the Metro: “I would describe Amara as a Rolls Royce of a centre-back.
“He has a great left foot and is elegant when he moves with the ball. He can play the ball with both feet and has been working on his heading as well.
“He’s a player who has a high ceiling.”
But if Nallo is to achieve success it will be in Merseyside and not at the London Stadium.

The 16-year-old shared an image of himself with his new red shirt on Instagram to confirm the news.
Liverpool’s defence has been subject to criticism, amid claims that it’s the weakest area in the squad.
Club legend Jamie Carragher said: “It’s what type of defender you bring in?
“Is it a young player to get on the ball, bring it out from the back, maybe a left footer to provide Liverpool with a bit of balance?”
Nallo – who is both footed- was set to be handed a long-term professional deal with the Hammers upon turning 17 in November.
