LIVERPOOL want Dutch keeper Bart Verbruggen with a view to him being a future No 1.
Verbruggen, 20, has claimed a place in Anderlecht’s side in Belgium this season and Kop scouts have put him at the top of their shopping list.
The Anfield club know there is a strong chance that Republic of Ireland reserve Caoimhin Kelleher will move on in the summer.
That possibly leaves them needing new competition for Alisson.
Verbruggen is at the right age and stage in his career to take on that challenge and then possibly take over down the line.
At 6ft 4in he is a big presence.

Liverpool could make their move soon once the Kelleher picture is clearer.
If the Merseyside club dither then in-demand Verbruggen may be snapped up elsewhere.
The Anderlecht starlet has been capped by Holland at youth level.
He has been marked out as a major player for the future even after less than ten starts.

Verbruggen has played seven times this season in the Belgian first-tier for Anderlecht.
Jurgen Klopp could land Verbruggen at a decent fee now.
However, his value is likely to soar as he plays more – and that is also a consideration.
