JONATHAN DAVID has revealed that he admired Eden Hazard after breaking his goals record.
The Canadian striker broke the former Chelsea star’s record of 52 goals after netting a hat-trick against Lyon in Ligue 1.
The record is only being judged on the club’s 21st century, but David has still impressed as he has achieved the feat in only 102 Ligue 1 games.
Speaking after game, the 23-year-old admitted his pride in breaking the record.
However, he also went on to suggest where he would like to move to after Lille.
He said: “I’ve admired Eden Hazard for a long time, to break his record is a bit surreal for me.
