THIS was the terrifying moment a Mexican hooligan stabbed another fan in the chest during a football match against Qatar.
Graphic footage showed a brawl between Mexico supporters as the two countries faced each other in a Gold Cup match in Santa Clara, California.
As Mexico lost 1-0 against the latest World Cup hosts on Monday, a man was seen pulling out a knife and assaulting another supporter.
The attack caused severe injuries to his body, as the victim attempted to stop the expelling blood with his football shirt.
Cops arrived at the Levi’s Stadium at 8.47pm but “the suspect fled the scene and was not located,” the force said.
Witnesses reported seeing the wounded fan apparently getting escorted to exit the venue where he would receive proper medical treatment.

She told Doha News there were several altercations throughout the event, but the one she witnessed was particularly severe.
“At first, I thought it was a fist fight but then saw someone else who was putting, applying pressure on the guy’s chest and that’s when it hit me that he got stabbed,” she said.
Lt. Cuong Phan of the Santa Clara Police Department confirmed the stabbing incident happened during the football match.
