Lazio pick worst possible time to approach Wilfried Zaha over free transfer move for Crystal Palace star


WILFRIED ZAHA is reportedly being courted by Lazio, but the Italians couldn’t have made their move at a worse time.

The Crystal Palace man is out of contract on July 1 and has been linked with a number of potential suitors.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Zaha is wanted by Italian outfit Lazio who have approached Palace for talks over a potential free deal.

The 30-year-old is said to have a lot of proposals and any deal for him could be potentially complicated.

Zaha is reported to be considering his options.

But the winger certainly won’t be making any decisions this weekend as he is on his STAG DO.

The Ivory Coast international has jetted off with his friends to celebrate ahead of his marriage to his partner Paige Bannister.

He was photographed wearing a hilarious T-shirt poking fun at the marriage with the phrase ‘Game Over’ written on the front, while his pals all wore matching tops.

Zaha has spent most of his career at Crystal Palace, playing a whopping 458 games for the Eagles.

He was a huge part of their scrap to avoid relegation last season and finished as their second top scorer in the league, netting seven times.

Despite his long affinity with the South London club, reports suggest he is ready to move on for a different challenge.

He has previously been linked with move to North London with both Tottenham and Arsenal reportedly interested, but neither have seemingly pursued him this summer.

There has been whispers of a move to Saudi Arabia and French giants Paris Saint Germain have been said to be interested too.
