Napoli are already searching for a new centre-back to replace him.

He only joined Napoli last summer from Turkish club Fenerbahce for a fee of £15million.

And they are set to turn a huge profit on him with his release clause that Man Utd must pay rumoured to be between £43million and £52million.

Just a matter of days ago, it was reported that Kim has been offered a “colossal” contract by United.

The player has been happy at Napoli but has always dreamed of a move to the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag will be delighted to add Kim to his defensive options after the team struggled while Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane have been injured.

Luke Shaw has filled in there, meanwhile, the futures of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire could be impacted by this potential new signing.

Man Utd also remain keen on Kim’s team-mate Victor Osimhen.

The club could make a double swoop this summer with Napoli desperate to keep hold of the striker, who would cost over £100million.
