TOTTENHAM are on the trail of Juventus’ English whizkid Samuel Iling-Junior.
The England Under-21 winger, 20, came through the academy at Chelsea but then moved to the Old Lady in Italy in 2020.
But he has made just one Serie A start in that time and only four substitute appearances in all competitions this term.
With only 18 months left on his contract, Juve are weighing up whether to cash in on the north London-born ace next month.
Spurs are monitoring the situation, though strengthening the centre-back positions remains their priority in January.
Tottenham manager Ange Postcoglou is focused on defence as he has seen his options at the back shrink during the season with injury to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero’s suspensions.

This could allow the likes of Newcastle and Brighton to steal a march on signing Iling-Junior.
The Premier League duo have both been linked with moves for the Englishman.
Technical coach Saul Isaksson-Hurst has worked with Iling-Junior as well as the likes of Folarin Balogun and Noni Madueke.
He has helped the players improve on “key areas” and “game-changing moments”.

Isaksson-Hurst said: “I bring something different, I am an individual specialist and have been doing this for 20 years.
“I am a technical coach, not a performance or fitness coach. I create practices that help players focus on improving those key areas and game-changing moments.
“On an individual basis, I am able to give them something more focused than what they might get at their club.”
Meanwhile, Juventus had been linked with a January swoop for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.
However, they appear to have backed out of a move for the winger.
