While another said: “Why does it look like Crouch is using stilts.”
Meanwhile at Wembley, boss Gareth Southgate selected an experimental line-up for the match.
Sam Johnstone was handed a start in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold returning to right-back.
Fikayo Tomori partners Lewis Dunk at centre-half, with Levi Colwill on the left.
James Maddison starts alongside Jordan Henderson and Conor Gallagher in midfield, with Jarrod Bowen and Jack Grealish on the flanks.
Ollie Watkins leads the line with Harry Kane given a rare night on the bench.
On his selection, Southgate said: “We need to find out about people.
“We need to keep the squad engaged.
“We’ve had quite a turnover in players, particularly at the back, where we’ve got quite a few players without many caps and we need to build their experiences.”
