JULEN LOPETEGUI rejected an offer from Saudia Arabian side Al-Ittihad that would have made him one of the world’s top-paid coaches.
The ex-Wolves boss has been linked to other clubs since he’s been out of work and has caught the eye of Manchester United.
The amount of money available in Saudi Arabia has convinced many to make the move to the Middle East.
But Lopetegui, 57, was one of the few who turned it down when he was offered the chance to join Karim Benzema’s side.
According to Spanish outlet AS the Jeddah club were willing to pay the Spaniard £15.5 million a season.
It would have made the former Real Madrid boss one of the highest-paid football coaches in the world.

Argentine boss Marcelo Gallardo stepped in instead to replace ex-Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who was sacked last month.
Lopetegui left Molineux during the summer after saving Wolves from relegation.
The West Midlands club’s lack of signings and financial problems led to his exit.
However, he is still on the radar of a number of clubs.
