He followed in the footsteps of Wayne Rooney and Raheem Sterling by being named the best under-21 player in Europe.

Bellingham has scored 15 goals since joining Real Madrid for £115million in the summer, a move which made him the most expensive British footballer of all-time.

After picking up the award, the 20-year-old has now picked out three players who could succeed him in 2024.

“I will say three names,” he told Tuttosport. “First of all, Arda Güler is a phenomenon, we see him training and we are delighted with him.

“Then my former teammate Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, from Borussia Dortmund. And finally, my brother Jobe.”

Arda Guler also joined Real Madrid in the summer, with the Spanish giants beating off interest from several clubs to sign the Turkish youngster.

However, he has since struggled with injuries and has yet to make his debut for the Spanish giants.

Meanwhile, Bellingham played alongside Jamie Bynoe-Gittens for Borussia Dortmund last season.

The winger, who used to play for Manchester City, has scored twice and added three assists in nine appearances this term.

He made his England under-21 debut back in September, winning a further four caps since.

Bellingham also tipped his younger brother Jobe for success next year, with both players coming through Birmingham’s youth system.

18-year-old Jobe left the Blues to join Sunderland in the summer and is already an England youth international.

He has scored three goals from midfielder for the Black Cats but will have to win promotion or join a top flight club to be eligible for the Golden Boy award.

Only players playing in a top flight European league can win the award.
