JIMMY BULLARD is well known for his larger than life personality.
But his rambunctious side seemed to spill over when he met EFL cult hero Aaron McLean.
McLean recalled the alleged story of his first meeting with Bullard when he arrived at Hull.
The 40-year-old spoke about the tale while speaking on the Undr the Cosh podcast.
He revealed that he knew Bullard was a joker, but admitted he did not expect to the type of welcome he got he joined from Peterborough.
McLean claimed: “I remember seeing Jimmy Bullard, seeing all the lads warming up, and he’s just running around jumping on the goalkeepers back.

“And I’m thinking, this guy is an absolute lunatic, like he’s just not taking it seriously. I thought f***ing hell, anyway, first day in training and I’m in the shower.
“He comes in the shower and grabs hold of my c*** straight away, and he’s like ‘ooo f***ing hell, that’s heavy init!’
“And, bearing in mind, I’ve just come from Peterborough I’m in the dressing room with these lads – and I’m a little bit intimidated.
“I tried laughing it off or whatever, but that was my first introduction to that crazy squad…”

He added: “It’s like, what do I do?
“It’s Jimmy Bullard, I can’t just like punch him… so it was an awkward start!”
McLean played one game for Hull in the Premier League.
As well as Peterborough and Hull, McLean had spells with Ipswich, Bradford, Barnet and Ebbsfleet.
