WEST HAM are no longer interested in signing Jesse Lingard, according to reports.
The midfielder had been training with the Hammers since August but will not be returning to the club permanently.
According to The Athletic, West Ham have withdrawn their interest in signing the free agent.
Lingard joined up with David Moyes’ side as he searched for a new club this summer.
He has been a free agent since his one-year deal with Nottingham Forest expired at the end of June.
The 30-year-old even featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Ipswich earlier this month.

Lingard previously spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at the London Stadium, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 16 matches.
Wolves had also reportedly been interested in a move for Lingard but a deal never materialised for the former Manchester United star.
West Ham’s withdrawal of their interest comes with Lingard now in Saudi Arabia to train with Al-Ettifaq.
He has joined up with Steven Gerrard’s side and is expected to spend a month training with the Saudi Pro League outfit.
