Sancho has not played for the Red Devils since August after his public falling out with Erik ten Hag.

He remains banished from first-team areas at the club’s training ground and appears destined to leave Old Trafford.

According to Bild, Sancho could be offered a return to former club Borussia Dortmund.

The German giants are said to be keen on re-signing him as part of a swap deal involving Donyell Malen.

United would be interested in receiving Malen as part of the transfer, the report adds.

Malen is valued at around £25million by Dortmund, whilst Sancho may join on an initial loan until the end of the season.

Sancho previously spent four years with the Bundesliga side before his £73million move to United in 2021.

During that time, the 23-year-old scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in just 137 appearances.

As for Malen, the former Arsenal academy starlet signed from PSV in 2021 just days after Sancho’s departure.

He can play on both wings or as a striker and has scored five goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.

The 24-year-old also has five goals in 25 caps for the Netherlands.
