ITALY’S new No 9 Mateo Retegui is being offered round Premier League clubs in a “bargain” deal.
Retegui, 24, scored against England in March but his club future is in doubt as he is on loan at Argentine side Tigre from Boca Juniors.
Tigre have an option to buy a percentage of Retegui for around £8million but he is on offer for Prem teams to buy at £14m.
That is still a low sum with Boca willing to deal.
Retegui has scored 11 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
He received his first senior international call-up in March ahead of Italy’s Euro 2024 qualifiers and scored on his debut in a 2-1 defeat to England.

The striker netted again in a 2-0 win over Malta just three days later.
Despite Retegui’s international allegiance to Italy, the Boca Juniors loanee had never played or lived in the country before he was called up to the national team.
He was also unable to speak the language.
The striker grew up in Argentina and his only connection with Italy is through his maternal grandmother.
