INTER MIAMI are still hoping to sign Lionel Messi, according to reports.
The MLS outfit were on the verge of agreeing a sensational deal to sign the PSG ace back in November.
And they were hoping to make Messi the highest-paid player in American top-flight history.
But Marca claimed the 35-year-old is expected to stay with PSG and sign a contract extension.
Messi’s deal in France runs out in the summer, but the Ligue 1 champions want to keep the ex-Barcelona star.
And the Parisians also want to improve his £700,000-a-week wages.

He said: “We want to bring the best players in the world to this club and he is probably the best player, so for us the landscape has not changed at all.
“With any deal for any DP (Designated Player) of that level, it’s complicated. It takes time.
Miami captain Gregore was also quizzed about Messi and reckons there’s a chance of the Argentine moving across the pond.
