It was his double against Boreham Wood that sealed the Red Dragons’ return to the EFL after 15 years.

And there were wild scenes for Phil Parkinson’s side – owned by Hollywood pair Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The celebrations went on long into the night – and then into the early hours as the player reminisced on a memorable campaign.

Mullin, 28, told the Tubes & Ange Golf Life: “We went out, we went into a local bar!

“But when we got there it was just too packed, honestly, it was chaos – just people everywhere in the streets!

“So, we set off back from there to the stadium to all be together and spend a bit of time with each other.

“Because, in there you just couldn’t move because there were so many people!

“It was an unbelievable night, and 6am comes, and I’m climbing on to a physio’s bed to try and get some kip!”

The Wrexham players were gifted a £1,000 bottle of whiskey by the A-list owners and pocketed a share of a cool £200,000 bonus – and will continue their promotion party with a trip to Las Vegas.

Mullin was born and raised on Merseyside, spending time in both the academies of Liverpool and Everton, before making his breakthrough with Morecambe.

Spells at Swindon, Tranmere and Cambridge followed before he joined Wrexham in 2021.

He has an impressive 79 goals in 97 appearances for the club – and is now eyeing an international call-up.

Mullin – who could play alongside Gareth Bale at the Racecourse Ground next season – is English but is eligible to play for Wales through his grandma.

He told The Times: “I’d love to play for Wales.

“Looking at the Wales team, their togetherness, that reflects me. The people I have got to know in Wales have treated me well and made me one of them.

“I want to play at the highest level. I will never give up hope of playing in the Premier League until I am retired.”
